At Recall.AI, your privacy is our top priority. This Chrome extension is designed to give users full control over their conversations with AI platforms, without compromising personal data.
Recall.AI reads content from supported AI chat platforms (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Grok) solely to let users save their conversations locally. This data is never accessed unless you explicitly use the extension on one of those platforms.
All chat data, summaries, and related metadata are stored securely using chrome.storage.local within your browser. This means your data remains on your device and is never uploaded or shared by default.
When you request a summary, Recall.AI temporarily sends the conversation to our summarization API for processing. We do not store, log, or share this data. It is processed in-memory and discarded immediately after use.

You can view, export, or delete any saved conversation directly from the extension interface. You don’t need to create an account, and you’re always in control of your data.
